Constructed Wetland

Constructed Wetlands are generally constructed and controlled wetlands that simulate the functions and characteristics of natural wetlands. The system employs artificial substrates like gravels, aquatic plants and microorganisms as the main components of constructed wetland, creating a unique “soil-plant microorganism” ecosystem.
The primary mechanism of a constructed wetland technology includes: using the physical, chemical and biological synergism of substrate, aquatic plants and microorganisms in the system, the efficient purification of wastewater through substrate filtration, adsorption, precipitation, and ion exchange, plant absorption and microbial decomposition.

Mechanism

The sewage and sludge are distributed through the constructed wetland along with a controlled flow pattern. The sludge and sewage are treated through physical, chemical and biological synergism of soil, artificial medium, plants and microorganisms.

Concept
