Industry 5.0 & Industrial Upcycling

The first industrial evolution ever led by human based on the principles of INDUSTRIAL UPCYCLING.

The methodology of systematic waste prevention.

Industry 5.0 at a glance?

INDUSTRY 5.0 was founded in 2015 by Michael Rada from the Czech Republic. Industry 5.0 is an evolution based on the principles of INDUSTRIAL UPCYCLING – the methodology of systematic Waste prevention. It is a systematic approach based on the principles of INDUSTRIAL UPCYCLING for Waste prevention. This methodology has been applied in the natural world environment to prevent more than 1 million tons of material and products from becoming Waste. This methodology has been applied in real-world environments to prevent more than 1 million tons of material and products from becoming Waste. It is based on transparency, profit sharing and efficiency.

Eco Amet Solutions Limited offers industry 5.0 methodology consulting for waste prevention in Ghana and Sub-Saharan Africa, among numerous other locations worldwide. Join us on this journey as we take a second look at “waste” and put more value on the “resources” we keep putting in the wrong place.

The basic principle of INDUSTRY 5.0 is to become part of the business and social environment, delivering logic,  build a wasteLESS world and to deliver a meaningful life to all. It is not the fifth industrial revolution this is a misunderstanding but it is the first industrial EVOLUTION ever led by a man. INDUSTRY 5.0 is NOT a SALES TOOL nor PRODUCT.

The systematic principle recognizes 5 main types of waste:

About the founder

Mr. Michael Rada, born on December 24, 1971, is an experienced business professional equipped with 30+ years of rich business experience. He started his career as a steel factory worker in 1990. In 2013, he invented and developed the systematic waste prevention methodology called industrial upcycling and started implementing it in Czechia’s real business and industrial environment. Two years later, industrial upcycling became the groundstone of INDUSTRY 5.0, which was launched on December 1, 2015, by a published article named INDUSTRY 5.0 FROM VIRTUAL TO PHYSICAL.

Mr. Rada has no Academic Education, and he is not a scientist, politician or celebrity, despite that he held regular webinars and talks of Universities, Schools, Events all over the Globe, and INDUSTRY 5.0 become part of EUROPEAN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK introduced by EUROPEAN COMMISSION so as it resonates at the ground of UNITED NATIONS conference on October 19, 2021. Moreover, in 2020, INDUSTRY 5.0 was named one of the TOP TEN INDUSTRIAL TRENDS of the DECADE.

Michael Rada was on the Green Living Chats podcast, sharing his untold story of how he decided to build a “wasteLESS” world. Listen here: Part 1 and Part 2

Waste management applies the methodology of the 3R waste pyramid: REDUCE–REUSE– RECYCLE, which almost everyone has encountered. But unfortunately, the latest studies show that 3R does not decrease waste volume; on the contrary, it boosts the volume generated.

Within INDUSTRY 5.0, we have defined an advanced tool that works not only for a narrow group of people but is
applicable globally. Fundamental change in the application of INDUSTRIAL UPCYCLING comes from the functional tool 6R. WASTING IS AN ACTIVITY THAT DOES NOT GENERATE ANY ADDED VALUE; INSTEAD OF THAT, IT GENERATE DELAY, ELIMINATE OR POSTPONE THE SOLUTION OR CREATE WASTE.

Preventing waste means wasting will be minimized or eliminated, and instead of working with garbage, PRODUCTS would be processed. To do so, the “6R” methodology was invented, and it is being implemented. It consists of 6 steps that must be appropriately applied from 1 to 6. The 6R is applicable in all environments and prevents all four waste types.

  1. RECOGNIZE: Something must not become a waste and should not be wasted. A material or product can always serve another purpose elsewhere.
  2. RECONSIDER: what to do with the material or product you just recognized.
  3. REALIZE: the change, apply your idea, make use of the product/material
  4. Critically, REDUCE the volume of waste generation.
  5. REUSE: apply your ideas in other fields and segments of your daily processing.
  6. RECYCLE: make it standard and use it personally and professionally.

In contrast to the circular economy principles, the 6R implementation does not need any impact in the basics of production
systems or processes or modification of tools and outputs.
